Seijinshiki (Coming of Age Ceremony)
At Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum, Exhibit Hall in Balboa Park

A coming-of-age celebration hosted by the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum, with speeches, musical and cultural performances, and light refreshments. Students of all cultures and backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Kimono dressing begins at 10:00 AM; the ceremony starts at 1:00 PM.
The fee includes garden access, a photoshoot, and refreshments. Uneven ground, steep hills, and narrow passages are present; ADA-accessible pathways are available.
